How Not to Be a Bridezilla
Weddings are not easy to plan. They take a lot of work, a lot of money, and in the process are stressful. Through no fault of your own, you may become a “bridezilla.” This happens when you try to do too much on your own. You’ll find there is just too much to do and not enough time in the day to get it all done before your big day arrives.
You may find 24 hours in a day isn’t enough and who knows – even 30 or 35 hours in a day wouldn’t be enough. To prevent yourself from becoming a bridezilla you need to find ways to do less. When you find this happy medium the bridezilla in you will go away and you’ll have the wedding of your dreams.
Here are several ways to eliminate the bridezilla in you.
Food
The food you serve is important for your reception. The decision-making process will have to be up to you, but ordering it and making sure everything is complete and ready can be placed on someone else. Whether you hire a caterer to handle it for you or you ask a friend or family member to help, when you eliminate this task you’ll find a little bit of stress will be removed.
Invitations
Invitations can take a lot out of you. Creating them, creating the invite list, addressing them, putting stamps on them, and sending them out can take longer than anything else. This task is something you can ask your bridesmaids to help with or you can ask a family member like a sister or cousin to help. The important thing to remember is that it’s not a sin to ask for help.
Flowers
Creating the bouquets, buttoners, and flower arrangements is a lot of work as well. Coming up with the right arrangement, the right colors, the right flowers, and then putting them together so they look beautiful is not an easy task, but it’s one that can be completed by a floral shop. Alternatively, if you have someone in your family that does this for a living or as a hobby it could be a gift to you.
Decorations
Decorating the church and the reception hall can take a lot of time. Hanging streamers, decorating the tables, putting the food and cake tables together and all the other things that go along with these can cause a lot of stress. Usually both places are decorated the day of the wedding which means a lot has to be done before the wedding.
Hundreds of hours of work go into a wedding and a reception. There’s planning and putting things together that all take time. From start to finish it takes a lot of effort and with that it’s no wonder a bride can easily become a bridezilla. When you ask for help from friends, family, or others, the stress will be lifted, your wedding will be the best it can be and you’ll be the happiest bride ever.
Chili in a Half-Hour
(12 servings about 1 1/3 cup each)
2 Tablespoon olive oil
6 medium onions, chopped
2 medium carrots, chopped
2 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno pepper
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2-4 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2-28-ounce can plus 2-14 ounce can whole tomatoes, chopped, with juices
2 teaspoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon salt
4 15-ounce cans kidney beans, rinsed
2/3 cup bulgur
1 cup non-fat pain yogurt for garnish
2/3 cup chopped scallions for garnish
½ cup chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Put a Dutch oven on a burner with medium heat, the Dutch oven should have the oil in it. Add the chopped vegetables, along with the chili powder and cumin. Cook the vegetables and spices until the onions and carrots are soft. This will take about 5 to 7 minutes.
Add the contents of the tomatoes, sugar and salt to the pan. Cook the ingredients for 5 minutes set at high. Reduce the heat to low and then stir in the beans and bulgur. Simmer the ingredients until the chili has thickened, which will be about 15 minutes.
Serve the chili with any of the garnish above, if desired.
Healthy Ways To Manage Stress
Stress management can take several forms, and sometimes it can be unhealthy. Drinking excessive alcohol, bingeing on unhealthy foods, or smoking a lot of cigarettes are examples of unhealthy stress management.
To avoid destructive habits and also to obtain some stress relief, it’s a good idea to explore healthy ways to manage stress. Here are suggestions to help keep those stress levels down.
1. Count Blessings – With a Twist
You’ve heard that counting your blessings can help you feel grateful; but studies have shown that a particular technique can be far more effective at relieving stress and the depression that often accompanies it. Here is how it works: each evening, write down 3 or 4 positive things that happened to you that day. They can be big or small. Just write down something that made you feel good or happy. It’s amazing how well this works!
2. Know Your Stress
To manage your stress, you need to know what triggers you. What stresses you out may not stress out someone else, and vice versa. Try to take some time to think about what causes you to feel anxious and tense, and “listen” to yourself in a non-judgmental way. This is not a time to try to talk yourself out of feeling stressed, or condemn yourself because you feel you “shouldn’t” be stressed by this or that. Identifying your triggers need not be public; it’s between you and your stress!
3. Meditate and/or Pray
Countless studies have shown how meditation and/or prayer can reduce stress. Maybe you could combine this with #1 above – after writing down the 3 positive things, take a few minutes to think about them and let them “sink in.” Or whatever meditation or prayer technique works for you – just make sure you do it each day, maybe even several times a day.
4. Reach Out
Depending on how you’re “wired,” this may be the most difficult stress management technique. But it also has the potential to be the most effective one. Telling a trusted and supportive friend how you’re feeling can make a world of difference. You may also prefer to speak with a psychologist, counselor, or therapist.
5. Meeting Your Needs
One of the symptoms of too much stress is never having time to take care of yourself – and that doesn’t just mean doing something special for yourself. Overly-stressed people may have trouble meeting their basic needs for necessities like food and sleep. Try to find where you can cut back, whether it’s cancelling an activity or rescheduling something. When you’re stressed, you need to take care of your health so you don’t succumb to any of the many stress-related illnesses.
Hopefully, you’ll be able to find healthy ways to cope with your stress, and reduce some of the symptoms.
Foods to Eat for Stress Relief
Sometimes, stress can produce food cravings…and those are not always healthy foods. In fact, common stress-induced cravings like sugar can create energy highs and lows that just leave you more stressed. What if you could nourish your stressed-out body with particular foods? It may be that you can!
Eating a healthy diet is important in managing stress. But there are some foods that are better “stress busters” than others. Here are some of the top foods to eat for stress relief.
1. Red Meat
Red meat has been demonized over the years as an unhealthy food. But the truth is, red meat (especially beef) contains important anti-stress vitamins like B12 and other B vitamins. Red meat also has zinc and iron, which, like the B vitamins, are great mood stabilizers and energy-enhancers. In fact, beef is a very nutrient-dense food and generally quick to prepare. Some sources point out that grass-fed beef is higher in nutrients than grain-fed, feed-lot beef.
2. Asparagus
Popular in the spring when it first comes into season, asparagus also helps you feel more mentally and emotionally stable. This is due to its high folic acid content, which is needed to make serotonin. Serotonin is a brain chemical that promotes a positive mood.
3. Oranges
Rich in Vitamin C, oranges help nourish the adrenal glands. These small glands located over the kidneys “eat up” vitamin C and need a lot of it when you’re stressed, because stress taxes the adrenals.
4. Bell Peppers
These are also rich in vitamin C, and are helpful in nourishing the adrenal glands. Remember, adrenaline and cortisol, the stress hormones, are produced by the adrenals. They need a lot of nourishment when you’re stressed out.
5. Dark Leafy Greens
What makes green leafy veggies so good for stress management? It’s probably the magnesium, a mineral that you need more of when you’re stressed. Magnesium is necessary for optimal nerve and muscle function, which can prevent headaches and enhance sleep.
Another leafy green vegetable is Swiss chard, which helps regulate cortisol levels.
6. Salmon and Tuna
Also high in magnesium, salmon and tuna are high in protein and healthy fats. These essential fatty acids can help manage stress hormone surges and help mood problems like depression. Tuna is high in stress-fighting vitamins B6 and B12.
7. Nuts
Most nuts are high in vitamin E, an antioxidant and vitamin that helps fight the free radicals that can be brought on by stress. Almonds have the additional perk of being high in magnesium.
These are just a few of the wonderful healthy foods that can help your body fight off stress.
Do as I Say, Not as I Do
Just about everyone has heard this saying: “Do as I say, not as I do.â€
Chicken, Wild Rice and Mushroom Casserole
(Serves 4)
1 cup of water
¼ cup of wild rice
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 leek, chopped and rinsed
¾ pound sliced mushrooms
½ cup dry sherry
1/8 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup low-fat milk
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup reduced-fat sour cream
1/6 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
½ teaspoon of salt
1 cup frozen French-cut green beans
¼ cup sliced almonds
In a small, heavy saucepan, add the water and rice. Bring this to a boil. Cover and reduce the heat to maintain a simmer. Cook the rice until it is tender, about 35 to 40 minutes. Drain the rice and set it aside.
Place the chicken in a large skillet or saucepan. Add enough lightly salted water to cover the chicken. Bring this to a boil. Cover the pan and reduce the heat until the chicken is gently simmering and the chicken is cooked thoroughly. The chicken should not be pink in the middle. This will take about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the chicken to a clean cutting board and allow it to cool.
Heat a Dutch oven with oil or use a large high-sided skillet over medium heat. Add the leeks and cook them until they are just starting to brown, stirring occasionally. This will take 4 to 5 minutes. Add the mushrooms and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the liquid produced has been released and evaporated, about 7 minutes. Sprinkle the vegetables with flour to coat them. Add milk, and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook this for about 1 minute. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, sour cream, parsley, salt and pepper. Once heated, remove it from the heat.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Cut the chicken into small pieces. Spread the rice out in the bottom of the baking dish so it’s in an even layer. Add the chicken and then the green beans. Pour the sauce evenly over the top of the green beans. Sprinkle the sauce with the almonds.
Place the casserole dish into the oven and bake until the casserole is bubbling and the almonds are golden brown. This will take about 30 minutes. Allow the casserole to stand for 10 minutes before you serve it.
Credit Cards: When to Use Them and When You Should Not
Just about everyone has a credit card these days; unfortunately, just about everyone uses them and abuses them as well. There are many good reasons to have and use a credit card and just as many reasons not to use them. Here are a few examples of both.
Good Reasons to Get a Credit Card
One of the main reasons to get a credit card is to build and establish credit, especially revolving credit. Credit facilities such as credit unions and banks like to see young people with good credit start applying for loans.
One of the reasons a bank or credit union or car dealer will seek to give out loans for young individuals with good credit is that they will make money on that loan. If a young college student has one or two credit cards with revolving debt, it shows the loan institution that this individual has a good history of borrowing money and paying it back.
When a young person shows that they are honoring their responsibilities in debt, the car dealer will more than likely give them that loan.
Another bonus of opening up credit is that once you begin to repay your credit card debt in a timely manner, you build credit on a credit report. A good credit rating will almost always get you a better loan rate – whether it is for a student loan or a car loan.
A credit card is also an excellent tool for emergencies. If you are traveling and something unexpected arises, you have your credit card with you just in case.
Having a credit card also teaches you discipline to live within your means.
On the Downside
Just as there are many upsides to owning a credit card, there are also some important downsides.
One of the downsides of owning a credit card is the risk of spending more than you can really afford and overextending yourself. It is so easy to get into the habit and trap of using a credit card without thinking about whether you will be able to pay back the money.
Sometimes you have everything all planned and put a whole bunch of stuff on your credit card and find out, unexpectedly, you or your spouse is taking a cut in pay. It is better to use cash and pay your bills than to overextend yourself.
Another downside is getting your card stolen or losing it. It is more than a pain to have your credit card stolen. By the time you recover the number and call the credit card company, someone has already had a party on your dime. There may be numerous phone calls and lengthy disputes before it gets resolved. Sometimes, your credit report is negatively impacted by events such as these.
Therefore, while there are ups and downs to owning a credit card, it all comes down to you. How careful and how responsible you are depends on how self-disciplined you can be at any given time that card is in your wallet.
Contests that Challenge a Child’s Mind
There are times when a child is bored and their mind isn’t being used in a way that it should. Challenging a child’s mind is the best way to keep it active and to keep them thinking. These types of challenges will enable your child to develop in ways that’ll help them in the future.
There are many ways to challenge your child’s mind, but one of the best ways is to have a contest. When they have something to reach for it’ll be easier to get it done and you’ll find they will want to challenge themselves. They’ll see it as fun and they won’t see it as a job or a chore. Here are several contests you can do with your child to help them to continually challenge their mind.
Reading Contests
In some locations the school or public library will hold reading contests. These are usually sponsored by businesses in the community and the prizes are generally geared specifically to the children. They’re usually split into groups based on age, which helps challenge each group appropriately.
These contests typically run during the summer when the children are out of school and don’t have anyone daily to help them read. Some communities also run these types of contests during extended breaks which might include Christmas or Spring Break.
Generally these contests are either based on the number of words read or the number of books read. They have to be within the reading level of the age and (depending on the age) the books may have to be a certain number of pages. Sometimes these contests are completed on trust while others may require some kind of method to prove the book was read. Once proof is made, prizes are awarded. They usually have a grand prize and that may be what the trigger point will be for your child.
Science Contests
Science is another topic that comes up a lot. If you live in a community with a lot of science-related things, you may find these types of contests for children of all ages. You may see contests for visiting museums or if you have exhibits that visit your community there may be contests for those. Science fairs are another source of contests you may see for children. Those may run during the school year, but if your community has strong ties to science you may see them in the summer too.
These types of contests may be run similar to a reading contest in that the prizes will be geared toward the children, but you may also find some have bigger prizes because the organizers may have more funding for contests than others. You may see trips to other places that have bigger science-type attractions or you may see free tickets to museums that are near your community.
Continually challenging your child’s mind is important. Not only will it keep the mind active, but it will also help them learn and retain what they read. Sometimes the things that are the most important can be the most difficult for your child to do, so the best way to help them is to find contests in these areas. If you find your child is not being challenged enough, consider finding contests for them to participate in. When you do you’ll begin to see changes in your child that will help them now and in the future.
Can Your House Be Too Clean?
We all want to avoid disturbing memories of the pizza-encrusted couch cushions that haunt us from our college days. But is it possible that we go too far? Can your house be too clean? Maybe. Here are some things to consider next time you’re ready to scrub the counters with anti-bacterial magic.
Back in the day, homes were cleaned with the basics: you used a broom to sweep, took the rugs outside and beat the dust out of them with a rug-beater, maybe used some vinegar and water on the windows and floors, soap and water for everything else, along with the occasional bleach for difficult-to-clean areas. Baking soda and vinegars were popular cleaning agents all the way through the time the Greatest Generation were raising their families.
It wasn’t until more recently that companies got on the bandwagon advertising for specific types of soap, scrubs, and cleaning fluids. Now we have a myriad of anti-bacterial soaps and sanitizers available to us. Going camping? Bring along a mini hand sanitizer. After the petting zoo, we use anti-bacterial soap.
However, it’s important to remember that bacteria isn’t necessarily all that is terrible and evil in the world. In fact, bacteria can sometimes be beneficial. It helps us build immunities. Experts have found that children who are exposed to a little dirt, dust or pet allergens are less likely to develop allergies, eczema and asthma as they grow older.
We know that preschoolers get sicker more often than their older siblings who have built up immunity from spending their days in school surrounded by coughing, sneezing germ-filled cherubs. In fact, studies show that children who had more exposure to germs while they were in daycare at a very young age are healthier overall than those who spent the early years protected from germs in their parents ultra-clean homes.
So we should sit on the couch eating junk food and leaving the crumbs for the dog to pick up? No. But studies show that sometimes ultra-clean is too clean. So rather than reaching for anti-bacterial soap for every cleaning need, consider using regular soap. Rather than using a harsh chemical to clean something, consider a more natural solution.
As technology and chemistry fuse together cleaning solutions for today’s modern world, many people are concerned that this preponderance of chemicals can be too harsh.
Keep in mind that many chemicals we use in our cleaners are toxic. The most toxic are commonly used to clean drains and toilet bowls. Not only are the harsh fumes bad for humans, but they also go down the drain and impact the environment. Consider reading the labels. Although many products won’t list their ingredients, look for warnings such as “WARNING” or “DANGER” or “POISON.” These will indicate the product may be harmful to you, your family and/or the environment.
To avoid the harsh chemicals, many people are turning toward more natural cleaning solutions. Those with ingredients that are easy to pronounce are popular, and others are back to cleaning the way Grandma did – with baking soda, vinegar, and of course, soap and water.
Definitely we need to keep our homes clean, and definitely we need to wash our hands. But as Grandma used to lecture, “everything in moderation.” Consider using natural products and avoid going overboard in your quest for a clean floor or countertop. Soap and water has been doing the trick for many, many years. It still seems to work today.
Banana Chocolate Oatmeal

Add the water, oats and salt to a large saucepan. Bring the ingredients to a boil and then reduce the heat, simmering uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the saucepan from the heat and cover it, allowing it to stand for 3 minutes. Remove the cover and add the remaining ingredients. Stir well to combine.
Can You Freeze Off the Flab? Cryolipolysis
You’ve tried the fad diets; you’ve tried long-term lifestyle changes. You’ve walked the walks, run the 5Ks, done Zumba and weight lifting. You’ve eaten all of the internet’s superfoods, tried the cabbage soup and grapefruit, low-carb, and caveman diets. But despite all the hard work, that extra bit of flab just won’t go away. Surgery sounds expensive and potentially dangerous. You’ve read about “CoolSculpting,” also known as Cryolipolysis. What is it and is it something to consider?
Cryolipolysis
Crylipolysis is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction that freezes off your excess fat. It makes sense if you think about it – you always hear that you burn more fat outside in the cold, right? That’s what it does – it burns the fat without damaging the skin.
Tell Me More
The procedure was first tested on humans in 2009, so it’s quite a new procedure. The treatment takes one to three hours and does not require anesthesia. In fact you can read, nap or work on a laptop during the procedure. The procedure targets fat cells, cools them and then eliminates them without damaging any other tissue. The dead fat cells are then eliminated naturally through the body over several months.
How Much Fat Are We Talking?
One treatment can result in a 20% reduction in fat within two months of the treatment, and six months later there is a 25% reduction in fat. The fat burning effect takes place within two to four months.
What If I Want to Lose More than 25%?
This procedure is best for people who are within 15 pounds of their ideal weight and just need to eliminate stubborn love handles or flab that won’t go away. You can have the procedure more than once. After 2-4 months you could try it again, lose another 20-25% of fat cells for a total of 44%.
Experts emphasize that this procedure is meant for small to medium amounts of fat such as back fat, stomach rolls, etc. that patients would like removed. This is not a treatment for weight loss or obesity. If you’re looking for more dramatic results, you might want to consider an alternative such as liposuction or surgery.
Does It Last?
They say the effects are permanent as long as you stick to a healthy diet and exercise plan.
Does It Hurt?
They say “little or no pain or discomfort.” One reviewer said it did hurt – she described it as nothing unbearable, more like the pain of a mammogram. You’ll feel an intense cold, but then it goes away and you can relax. After the procedure you can continue normal activities. You might be numb for as long as four weeks, feel mild cramping or tingling, but that will go away.
Are There Side Effects?
Redness, bruising and numbness are transient side effects that researchers say subside with time. No serious side effects have been reported.
Where Do I Go? How Much Does It Cost?
The treatment is often called “CoolSculpting.” It costs about $700. You’ll find it in medical salons in major cities.
So there you have it. Can you freeze off the flab? Yes, you can. It’s non-invasive, relatively harmless and doesn’t cost as much as some of the other methods out there to remove unwanted fat. Should you freeze off the flab? That’s up to you to decide. There are many options out there, and as long as there are people with money to spend and fat to remove there will probably continue to be new techniques every year. Compared to other options, Cryolipolysis appears to be relatively painless, non-invasive and inexpensive.
Bridal Portraits Shots You Don’t Want to Miss
Bridal portraits are perhaps the most important thing for your wedding. Once it’s over, it’s over and the portraits will be all you have left. If you don’t have your photographer take the shots you’re looking for, you won’t be as happy. There are many to consider and looking through photography books and bridal books may help you to come up with some of your own. It’s important to share this information with your photographer so he/she knows your wants and desires.
Here are several portraits you won’t want to miss.
1. Gown Hanging
Your gown is the most precious item you’ll have for your wedding. Once you take it off you’ll store it in a bag and not look at it again for a while. There are several ways your photographer can take portraits of it so you can always look at it later.
2. Bride Getting Dressed
There are so many steps that go into getting ready for your wedding day. You have to do your hair, your makeup, nails, and then get dressed. There are several portrait options to be had while you’re getting ready for your big day.
3. Her Reflection in the Mirror
Reflection portraits are so beautiful. You can have your portrait taken while standing, sitting, or holding the mirror. When taken properly this portrait will be a reflection of your happiness.
4. Fun Shots
Fun portraits always make the stressful time go away. These can include goofy faces, everyone jumping to the sky, and staggered line-ups. You can come up with these on the fly or you can do research and find images you like and incorporate them into your own portraits.
5. Rings
Taking portraits of the rings is another great keepsake. There are several ways to do this that you won’t want to miss. Examples would be with your bouquet of flowers, wine glasses, and the marriage license.
6. First Dances
There are several first dances that will be memory makers you won’t want to forget. You’ll want your photographer to capture your first dance as a married couple, the first dance with the mom and the first dance with the dad. These are special dances and ones you’ll want to keep close to your heart.
7. Leaving the Church
After the ceremony and all the portraits have been taken, it’s time to have the rice tossed at you or bubbles blown in the air. These will make for special portraits too. You’ll remember all the people that came to celebrate your special occasion and you’ll remember your first moments together as a married couple.
You put all this time and effort into your wedding, making it everything you’ve ever dreamed of and within a few short hours it’s over. The only thing you’ll have left to remember it by is the portraits your photographer takes for you. When you use these suggestions along with any others you can come up with, you’ll find those memories will be with you forever.
Breaking the Debt Cycle
Hundreds, thousands, even millions of individuals are in debt these days. If you are in debt, the first thing you need to know is that you are not alone. While that may not be an answer to your debt problem, it is comforting to know that you are not out there alone in your debt situation. There are many ways to break the debt cycle.
Too Much Outgoing Not Enough Incoming
One of the main reasons that you are in debt is simply because you have too many outgoing expenses and not enough incoming cash.
One of the ways to resolve this is to, obviously, increase your income. If this means that you have to give up something, then you have to give up something. The end goal is to get out of debt and you may have to give up some free time to work extra hours. You may have to put off going back to school and you may have to give up watching television.
With the internet and many ways to make money, it’s really not that hard to bring in a couple of extra dollars at the end of the week. Retail stores are always looking to hire seasonally as well.
Balance Transfers and Loans
If you have good credit, even though you have quite a bit of debt, chances are that you can do a balance transfer of all your credit card debt to a low or even zero percent credit card rate.
Transferring all of your outstanding balances and consolidating will give you the opportunity to make one monthly payment with all of that payment going toward principal rather than interest.
Sometimes you can also obtain a consolidated loan and pay off those high-interest credit card debts.
Once you have increased your income and transferred your debt to consolidated rates and loans that are more affordable, there are one or two more things to do.
Cut Your Cost of Living
Take a good look at where you can cut costs. If that means making lunch every day and cutting out that expensive coffee, you will be surprised how much money you save at the end of the month. Make sure you have a budget set in place. Set aside some fun money and at the end of the month when it is gone, no more impulse buying or fun money until the next month.
Set New Habits
Getting into debt is simply a bad habit or returning pattern that you cannot escape. However, if you are intentional about it and aware of it, you can create new and healthy habits.
* Set a budget
* Journal your spending habits
* Have an accountability partner when you feel like splurging
* Discipline yourself to eat at home more often and make lunch and coffee in the morning
With these tips, you can surely break the debt cycle in no time.

After the marinating time is over, remove the check from the sauce. Let some of the sauce remain on the chicken. Place the chicken on a baking sheet or casserole dish that has been lined with aluminum foil.
Bake the chicken in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked thoroughly.

What’s Hot, What’s Not Wedding Themes for 2014
If you’re planning a wedding in 2014, it’s important to know what’s hot and what’s not. You want the perfect wedding and if you don’t choose the right colors and themes you may find it’s not as good as you it could have been. Here are several suggestions to consider when you’re planning your wedding.
Goofy
Goofy wedding themes have become popular lately. Laughing and humor are always fun when it comes to weddings and that’s what you’ll get when you choose a goofy-themed wedding. To do this, you’ll need to be stylish and clever in your attire. You can choose from themes from the 20s or 50s or any other era you have an interest in.
Organic
A green wedding is a great way to support the environment. You’ll need to consider where your wedding will be and other things that have to do with living green. Make sure when you choose this option you make it an eco-friendly wedding.
Romance
There is nothing more special than a romantic wedding. It’s one that will never go out style and it will always be elegant, yet classic. You can do a fairytale wedding or one that you’ve always dreamed of. It could be contemporary with the clothing you wear, or you can bring your wedding into the 21st century and use those themes for your wedding.
Symbolic
Symbolic weddings are interesting and in most cases ones you’ll never forget. These can be based on traditions or things you come up with on your own. There are several themes you can go with when you choose to do a symbolic wedding. You can do an outdoor wedding where everyone wears cowboy boots and you ride off into the sunset when it’s over, or you can light a unity candle and pour two different colors of sand into one container which represents your life together.
Dramatic
One last theme to consider for your wedding is dramatic. This can be done in many different ways. You can be dramatic in the location of your wedding, the theme and colors you choose, or what you do after your wedding is over. Dramatic gives you full control and you can do as much as you want because you get to decide how you’ll make the statement.
When it comes to your wedding, there is no right or wrong answer to how your ceremony will be performed, what goes on during the ceremony, and what you do when it’s over. Each and every wedding is different. It’s up to you and your desires, needs, wants, and likes. People can tell you that one is better than the other, but in the end the final decision is yours to make.
Choose one of these themes or come up with one on your own. Choose what fits you and your future spouse and what you’ve dreamed of having. Don’t let others choose it for you.
